S
pring/Summer Season

The Manta Rays swim team is a great way to develop a life-long activity, create lasting relationships and have fun while learning good sportsmanship and the YMCA core values: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

The spring/summer season is a good way to “get your feet wet” and try out the team or stay in shape for winter teams.  There are no mandatory practice requirements. Beginners are encouraged to attend 2-3 days a week, while advanced swimmers are encouraged to attend 4-5 days a week. YMCA membership is required.

Participation in the spring/summer season consists of opportunities to swim in at least 2 YMCA meets. Swimmers who would like more competition can enroll as members of USA swim, which offers 3 to 4 additional meets. Approximate age groups are listed below. If you are interested in joining the team, contact Lia  Langeveld at 283-0100 x48 for an evaluation or with any questions.
