NEW Community Child Care Center
Is now OPEN
On May 4th, the Northern York County Family YMCA’s new Community Child Care Center opened its doors to families of our community. Our new facility will not only enable us to offer innovative programming concepts, we will also be able to provide additional families with convenient, values-based child care that encourages children to explore and grow.
The 4,500 Square foot faciltiy will include 5 classrooms, a cafateria, administrative space and an outdoor playground. Our new Childcare Center will offer:
- A structured environment centered on a values-based curriculum
- Innovative elective programs that will unitlize close proximity to the YMCA
- Conveniently located near the turnpike
- Easy one-stop registration

- Before and after care right at the center

January 22, 2010 Siding installed and sub-floor plumbing started
January 28, 2010 Siding/window installation continues; sub floor done
February 8, 2010 Floor poured and insulation/framing continues
February 16, 2010 Insulation/framing continues and electrical work begins
March 3, 2010 Wiring/plumbing complete; sheetrock and landscape begins
March 11, 2010 Paving & sheet rocking continues, Furness being installed
March 25, 2010 Sheet rock completed, HVAC and Duct work continues
April 8, 2010 Finish work begins. ceiling/lighting work continues
April 22, 2010 Finish work continues, paving complete
