For the overall safety and well-being of those who participate in our programs, the YMCA assigns an appropriate level to each program so that participants can feel safe and have a positive experience. The following is a list of the levels and what they mean:

  • Level 1 (Beginners): For those who have either never worked out or who are just starting an exercise program.
  • Level 2 (Intermediate): For participants who have been working out for awhile and need something more challenging than a beginner program.
  • Level 3 (Advanced): For participants who have been exercising regularly and need a challenging workout.
