The following is a listing of current health and fitness programs centered on providing opportunities to for older adults to lead an active lifestyle:
AOA (Active Older Adults) Water Fitness
An aquatic program held in the warm and shallow instructional pool for beginners, those recovering from injuries and seniors. Includes stretching, gentle cardio segment, and strength work.
Level 1-2
Tuesday, Thursday: 11am-Noon Non-member fee: $48
Monday (1-2pm), Wednesday (2-3pm) and Friday (1-2pm) Non-member fee: $72
AFYAP Arthritis Class
Designed to help with all types of joint pain, this is an AFYAP program certified through the Arthritis Foundation. Classes are held in the small pool.
Levels 1-2-3
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 11am-Noon

Low Impact Aerobics
Low impact aerobic class designed for Active Older Adults and beginners. Warm up, gentle aerobics, strength training and flexibility included. Variations and modifications will be shown with different levels of intensity. Includes weights, balls and bands.
Levels 1-2
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 11-11:45am
Non-member fee: $52
For the overall safety and well-being of those who participate in our programs, the YMCA assigns an appropriate level to each program so that participants can feel safe and have a positive experience. The following is a list of the levels and what they mean:
- Level 1 (Beginners): For those who have either never worked out or who are just starting an exercise program.
- Level 2 (Intermediate): For participants who have been working out for awhile and need something more challenging than a beginner program.
- Level 3 (Advanced): For participants who have been exercising regularly and need a challenging workout.
