The Northern York County Family YMCA provides a diverse offering of programs and classes centered on helping our community lead a healthy and active lifestyle. Each program provides a positive and enriching environment where participants can develop self-confidence, meet new friends and build a strong and healthy mind, body and spirit.

Participation in Group Fitness and Water Fitness classes require members to purchase a Group Excercise membership (Monthly cost: $10/person, $20/family). Participants must be 14 years of age or older and non-members may only attend classes for which they have registered for.
Note: Non-members must purchase a $10 day pass to participate in a group excercise class.

* Group exercise pass includes access to group activity classes excluding specialty classes (which are an additional fee) and all active older adult classes (free to all active senior members).

* Active older adults classes include: Low-impact aerobics, Joints in Aqua and AOA water fitness classes.

For the overall safety and well-being of those who participate in our programs, the YMCA assigns an appropriate level to each program so that participants can feel safe and have a positive experience. The following is a list of the levels and what they mean:
Level 1 (Beginners): For those who have either never worked out or who are just starting an exercise program.
Level 2 (Intermediate): For participants who have been working out for awhile and need something more challenging than a beginner program.
Level 3 (Advanced): For participants who have been exercising regularly and need a challenging workout.
