Group Fitness Programs

Participation in all group fitness classes require members to purchase a Group Excercise membership (monthly fee: $10/person, $20/family) and are an hour long unless otherwise noted.  Yoga classes have been classified specifically by levels in order to provide our members with the best possible experience.
Note: Non-members must purchase a $10 day pass to participate in a group excercise class.

Pilates
Promote balance between muscle groups and stretch the body. Pilates is designed to create a strong core without pain. Work on your  posture and flexibility.

Low Impact Aerobics 
Warm up, gentle aerobics, strength training and flexibility are included. Variations will be shown with levels of intensity including weights, balls and bands.
M/W/F  11:00 - 11:45am

Core and More 
Designed to strengthen and stretch the core muscles of the abdomen, hip flexors and glutes using a variety of equipment.  Level 1, 2, 3   
M  5:00-6:00pm         

Cycle Training
Focus on endurance training to maintain or increase your performance in outdoor cycling.  BYOB (bring your own bike) and use one of our Kurt Kinetic Road Machines or choose to use one of our Body Cycle bikes.
M  9:45-10:45am          

Step-Pump-Kick
Enjoy a variety of cardio/strength moves with combinations, leaving participants wondering what’s next.

60-Minute Blast
Get everything you need in one class. 40 minutes of cardio workout, 10 minutes of strengthening/toning, and finish up with 10 minutes of core work/stretching.
M/W/F  8:30 - 9:30am

Boot Camp
Challenge yourself with a series of drills and advanced exercises to develop strength/cardiovascular endurance.
W  9:30 - 10:30am

Sculpt & Tone
This class is one hour of sculpting and toning using a variety of exercises and equipment. A total body workout giving maximum results in minimum time.

Beginner Yoga 
Participants will be introduced to Yoga poses, breathing techniques and given background information about Yoga.

Multi Level Yoga 
This class takes you to the next level of Yoga. It introduces you to Yoga Vinyasa (flows) and gentle inversions with more in depth breathing work.

Interval Circuit 
The perfect combination of cardio and strength training to help boost your metabolism, challenge your levels, strengthen and tone.

Stretch Fusion
This class is centered on abdominal and flexibility training incorporating resistance for immediate results. Transform your health by increasing or restoring your full range of motion while strengthening your vital core.

Zumba
Come and celebrate the return of Zumba here at the YMCA!  A combination of fitness moves and Latin dance gives a fantastic workout while you are having too much fun to notice.  Shake off the winter blues and shake up your current fitness routine and see why everyone is doing Zumba.
T  5:00-6:00pm

Kettlebell
Kettlebell training will target every aspect of fitness using functional movements.  It develops cardiovascular conditioning, strength, stability, flexibility, balance and agility.

Specialty Classes
Youth Sport Conditioning Workshop (ages 9-14) 
Lisa Lewis, LLC/AFPA Certified, Nutrition and Wellness Coaching
Youth will learn strength and conditioning drills, proper stretches and nutrition to enhance their sports performance. Lisa Lewis, certified Sport & Conditioning Specialist and certified Nutritionist will spend 2 hours with participants talking about the importance of nutrition and how to fuel their bodies to ensure stamina on and off the court, while also taking the participants through sport specific drills and stretches that can be done at home to help them throughout the sport season. 
October 9 and November 13 from 9:00-11:00am

Couples Massage: 4 week session (Fall II Session)
Bring your friends and join us for a fun Friday night class.  Learn the basic strokes of Swedish Massage and how to create relaxation as a couple while increasing range of motion.  Couples will need to bring a mat or air mattress, a pillow to put under your knees, preferred lotion of your choice and wear a bathing suit under clothing. Maximum 6 couples

Women & Weights Workshop

Whether you are currently lifting or are interested in getting started this workshop will give you the information you are looking for.  Come learn about the numerous benefits of strength training, form and technique, and different methods you can use for the results you want.  This workshop will have verbal direction as well as a practical component, so participants must come ready to exercise.
